Catholic church robbed at gunpoint for second time!

By Mushtaq Gill KASUR:  Three armed robbers raided 'Our Lady Queen of Angels Church' located at Multan Road, Bhai Pheru District Kasur at 09:00am Thursday morning. The bandits took Church staff hostage including Father Ijaz Bashir the assistant priest.  Church officials say the dacoits (robbers) looted over one million Pakistani Rupees, and stole mobile phones, cameras and seven silver crowns. Mumtaq Qadri's sentence for killing Salman Taseer upheld.

 ISLAMABAD: The guilty verdict for the killing of former Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer was upheld yesterday. During an Islamabad High Court division bench hearing, comprising of Mr.Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Mr.Justice Noorul Haq Qureshi, it was decided to reserve a verdict on  the murder appeal of Mumtaz Qadri, the self-confessed killer of Salman Taseer. Administrative incompetence leads to another postponement of trial for Salman Taseer's killer!

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has today Tuesday, 3rd February 2015 heard an appeal petition for Mumtaz Qadri, the killer of former Punjab governor Salman Taseer.  The appeal is against the death sentence  imposed on him in 2011, by the Anti Terrorism Court of Islamabad.  A two-member bench comprising of Justice Noor-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui re-issued a notice to Taseer's legal team. Seven Christian homes bulldozed by land grabbers!

KASUR: Land grabbing Muslim men seized and bulldozed homes of seven Christian families in a village of Kasur. The local Muslim men have been named as Shahid Khan, Jaffar Ali, Zafar Iqbal and Munir Bhatti.
